Book March
A bookmark game for any book with a map in it. Defend your reading from rampaging hordes, while also keeping your place with this handy bookmark!
For the Book Mark Micro Game Jam 2023
SETUP: on the map, select four locations. Place the bookmark in the back of the book, with the enemy army pulled out. You will also need a pencil.
PLAY: before turning the page, guess the number of paragraphs on the next page. If your guess AND the number of paragraphs is even/odd, cross off enemy soldiers equal to the ones digit of the page number. If you guess the number of paragraphs exactly, cross off that many additional enemy soldiers.
When you cross off a whole row of soldiers, move the bookmark in until you reach the next row, and fill in a star at the top of the page.
When you have defeated every row of soldiers, you have defended one of the locations on the map!
Pick another enemy army and keep going.
